Eating is truly one of the best pleasures whilst vacationing, especially if that country is known for particular dishes.

This is why we developed our "Meal Plan."  Our Meal Plans are $250 per person and this would be typically apart of YOUR food budget that you would spend anyway for meals whist on tour.  We take this budget per person and plan and organize opportunities for amazing meals atdeep disocunts. The meals can include group dinners, homemade lunches, daily snacks and water all throughout your trip.  This is an extra fee, however this gives us the flexiblity to choose the best places to have our group meals depending on our itinerary and location at the time and saves us amazing amount of money and time because everything is planned out. We choose the best places to have our group dinners or lunches depending on our itinerary and location at the time.

Many tours do include table d'hote dinners that comes along as a package with the hotel. We don't do this because feel this lessens your opportunity to eat where you want and eat what you want.  Eating out in local restaurants where you have the opportunity to eat with the locals and try AMAZING food is one of the most important things you can do on tour and in a new country.  Our guests love that we give this option so you can soak in all the best of each region.    And each tour is different becauce we give YOU the option to help plan YOUR dream trip.  Sometimes on certian days, you have free time to eat wherever and whenever you want. Other days, as a group we will have some amazing food in amazing places.  For example, our dinners include relaxing in your Country Home with actual HOMECOOKED Irish meals, eat at one of the BEST places in ROME, enjoy a fantastic 5 Star meal in your own Tuscan Villa and go into a small local village and eat with the locals for true Authentic dishes and ombeience.  We also receive great value and you will get more than if you were to go on it your own.  Many of the places allow us to choose ANYTHING you want off their menu and some places will have a set menu with wonderful choice as well.

Below you will find some the Amazing Meals that we include in our Meal Plans.  We go the extra mile to ensure you have the BEST of the BEST, no matter where we are.

The Italian Menu:

Every region will have regional specialties that they are quite proud of. Traditional Italian menus have five sections. An Italian meal consists of an appetizer, first course and a second course with a side dish, dessert, coffee.  You do not have to order all of the courses in an Italian meal, but you will be expected to have more than a pasta and salad in a nice place.

Olive Oil Cake and Oilve Oil Spaghetti

Antipasti: Appetizer

Antipasti's come before the main meal. A choice could be a plate of the local cold cuts (ie.cured ham and melon) or a salad.. ( I do find you can easily skip this course if you do not want to spend more money)

The First Course - Primo:

The first course is usually your pasta dish, soup, or risotto.  Usually there are several pasta choices.

Please remember.. The portion size will usually be smaller than what you are use to in America.. If this is all you order..ie Rigatoni, Spaghetti with bolognese sauce (meat sauce) or Ravioli with ricotta and spinach you will go hungry.

Grandma's Lasagna

The Second or Main Course - Secondo:

The second course will be your meat, poultry, or fish dish. It doesn't usually include a side dish....ie any potato or vegetable...While some may.. Don't expect it will... There are sometimes one or two vegetarian offerings, although if they are not on the menu you can usually ask for a vegetarian dish and/ or a gluten free dish.

The Side Dishes - Contorni:

Usually you will want to order a side dish with your main course. This could be a vegetable (verdura), potato, or insalata (salad).

The Dessert - Dolce:

Now it's time for dolce. I do suggest you eat dessert.  Even if you plan on having Gelato soon after or later in the day/night. Most often there may be a choice of fruit.

There will also be plenty of rich, sweet creamy desserts to choose from. Dessert is also when you would order your coffee.. Or more wine or an after dinner drink.
